I'm a 24 y/o female. I'm not sexually active or anything. I trying to wait til marriage. I watch porn sometimes, which I wish I wouldn't. I can go long periods of time without it. Can I not go to my college...?

Here's the deal. I sing Opera and I'm top notch Soprano at my community college and would do anything for music. I've been singing all my life, been in so many programs and choirs and have been taking singing lessons for years. I flew out to New Jersey last December to apply to Westminster College in Princeton, NJ (this school is private, population of 70 students, and is connected to Princeton and if I got accepted I would be a Princeton student as well.) I did a private audition and blew the judges away, saying they would do "anything" to have me as a student and am the best singer they've heard in a long time. After the audition I flew back home waiting for my acceptance letter. I got my letter 1 week later saying they accepted me and offering my $21,000 scholarship towards my tuition. Although the tuition is $40,000 a year, I still need $19,000. The school said they don't give full ride scholarships and the scholarship I got is the best. I called the school many times for financial aid or loans and they said they do not offer anything more than my scholarship and that I can look into bank loans. If I got a government loan I need to co-sign with my parents, but we keep getting denied cause my parents "make too much money." My parents can't pay out of their pocket cause they "Have too many expensive bills to pay." But bank loans interest are SO HIGH! I don't know if I'm getting myself into something I will regret and be in debt for life. But this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and all my professional teachers are saying I can honestly get famous for this for how talented I am...but the financial problem is such a pain. My parents are conservative, so they said if I can't go to Princeton I need to move out and live on my own and work up in a restaurant somehow. I need to go to this school but money is such a problem, I'm stuck. WHAT SHOULD I DO? IS THERE ANY ALTERNATIVES?

Do I wear too much makeup for a 14 year old?

I think that is a reasonable amount. I use all of those things and i'm gonna be a freshman! You could also apply a tinted moisturizer, its like a substitute for foundation for those people who don't need a lot of coverage + it has spf (mine has spf 15) so you could protect your face from the rays of the sun. How can I fix this problem with the FAFSA?

I filled out the FAFSA scholarship online before my mom filed taxes for 2010. We do have a legal extension, and we always pay our taxes, we just needed extra time. I called up the financial department at the school I plan to attend, and they said we could use an estimate from the previous year's taxes while filling it out. I should find everything out Friday (July 1st), but I recently heard that you're actually supposed to go to the school and fill out other paperwork and stuff for an estimate; what should I do to correct this problem, if I can do anything at all?

Cheap skin care & make-up routine?

I'm 33 and have lost that youthful glow. I would like to start a skin care & make-up routine that won't be expensive and take too much time. I'd like suggestions for using natural or homemade products. I've started using plain natural yogurt on my face/neck for moisture & exfoliation and I love it! I've also use chamomile tea bags on my eyes to reduce puffiness. My skin is healthy, no blemish problems. I'm just starting to get fine lines and not as firm anymore. I see all these anti-wrinkle serums & beads, creams & scrubs. For make-up, there is Primer? Like on my walls? Lol! Beauty experts suggests all these different brushes for each step. Those things aren't cheap! Won't a q-tip do? I don't want to be an airbrushed model. I just want even skin tone without looking like I'm covered in a dusty white mask. All of these highlighters, brighteners, toners etc have me so confused. The people at the stores/mall just want you to buy EVERYTHING. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am a 62 year old male (using my wifes email). Help for Microsoft Office 2008 on the Mac?

I have always used a Microsoft programs with the normal tabs (ex. review, view, insert, etc.) but for some reason on Microsoft Word 2008 on the Mac it doesn't have the normal tabs it has document elements, charts, smartart graphics and a bunch of other things I don't need. I don't know how to find anything on this program (ex. highlighter) and the other ones I've used before are so much easier. Is there any way to get the tabs on here or would I have to get a different version of Microsoft office? (note. Do I have the right to put up a mailbox?

I don't have a mailbox at my rental property. It cost forty dollars to get a PO box. I just can't afford it. I would think that as a US citizen I would have the right to put up a mailbox at this property to receive mail without having to pay for the service. Tiny accident with hair dye - dangerous?

I was at the hairdressers today and he was applying highlighter (permanent) with foils. He accidentally knocked my lips with his hand (which presumably had dye on it - he wasn't wearing gloves). I didn't think too much at the time, but now I am worried that ingesting some dye might be dangerous. My mouth isn't stinging but I do have a slightly odd taste in my mouth I can't get rid of.

I received a parking ticket for 108$$ when my car broke down, while I awaited a tow truck. A few weeks later I received a letter in the mail that a warrant was put out for my arrest do to lack of payment, I then filed an appeal with the Magistrate John Grine in state college, PA, had to type/print a letter stating my appeal with the docket number for the ticket as well as provide my current address; and was told I would receive information about the hearing shortly. Today I get a letter saying that I missed the hearing and will have to pay them 108$$ end of story. I call the magistrate and asked them why I never received information about the hearing in the mail, to which they she rudely told me that they received it back in the mail just today; yet somehow this letter mailed yesterday telling me it's too late and will HAVE to pay made it perfectly fine to my mailbox as well as a bill previous to this letter, and the warrant for my arrest. They apparently used a different address to send my hearing letter out, and then used the correct address which was on my appeal letter i physically handed to them to let me know I would have to pay them the money and there would be no chance for a hearing because i didn't show up (how do you show up for something if you don't know it's happening). Now I have no option, never received a fair trial/hearing, and must pay no questions asked. The only option was to contact an office which I couldn't even pronounce and pay them 60 dollars for yet another appeal; now that doesn't seem worth it when the ticket is 108$, i don't have 60 dollars to pay them and certainly don't have 108. Do i have any other legal options, can I contact state representative, if so who. The lady at the magistrate office was rude, told me I had no option besides a 60 dollar appeal, or pay up, then hung up the phone on me. First of all, does that not seem illegal and scam-like (sending the bill/warrant to the correct address and somehow mysteriously flubbing the address for my hearing), secondly how on earth can they get away with doing this? and lastly who can I contact to fix this problem?

My school verifies everyone's Fafsa, so the verification process takes pretty long. My question is that after they have looked over your Fafsa and have decided on an award, how long does it take for your award to go through after you accept it? You can see why I am worried because I turned in my Fafsa early and was told that they won't choose an award until around July 30th, but payments are due on August 11th! What if I need to get a loan as part of my award? How long will that take after my award has been chosen? They told me that the only way to get a loan that is not private is to do the Fafsa.

What to do when a parent passes that only has belongings and a vehicle and I cant afford an attorney?

Financial aid question?

Anybody know how do i find out how many units I'm approved/required to take this coming fall semester? I dont have the confirmation letter yet but the first time i got my first financial aid last fall semester i was approved 9 units. And for my spring semester i was required to take 12 units. So im not sure if have to go full time and i really have to know coz I have to borrow money from a friend since i dont have the check yet and i have to enroll tomorrow.

Does my school have a right to ask for my parents income tax returns?

I'm going to Kent State University. My EFC is above my 'financial need'. All that I expect to get is a parent PLUS loan. The school won't even tell me whether I have any scholarships or anything pending if I turn in my parents W-2s and tax returns. I don't think they have the right to ask for this stuff considering the circumstances. It's really none of their business what my parents spend their money on. Sims 3 relationships not showing up (pc)?

I've been playing the Sims 3 for a while now. I don't use expansions or mods. I had a mega glitch the other night that made all my characters disappear, so I followed some advice and evicted them and moved them back in. Problem solved. Now, I can't seem to get my relationships to show up. They're interacting and capable of dating/marriage, but when I click on the relationship panel it's blank. Nothing shows up. I did the cheat "testingcheatsenabled true" and clicked on the mailbox to know everyone and it still doesn't show up. I have no idea what this mans problem is, but he obviously sounds to me like hes just using you for money. WHy is he pressurising you and him to buy a house together, obviously so far, he isnt making you happy, so why would you wanna buy a house with him and you together, you wanna take it slowly instead of making a commitment like that with him, obviously he should be understanding. There should be some sort of compromise, and agreement mutually, instead of this. So why are you expected to be paying for his parking tickets? I mean if hes so mad about paying the bills, then why agree to it in the first place. Was he presurised to agree? Can I get Food-stamps of my own when I move out of my insane mother's house?

I am a 20 year old woman in California and I currently live with my mom who gets Food Stamps for me. She has threatened to call the cops on him if she sees him around even though he has never done anything wrong to her. Newbie at gardening-help!?

i have never planted anything until three weeks ago in little pots in my kitchen and those flowers are growing its very exciting to watch. now i feel ready to start planting some outside and doing some minor landscaping. i know sort of what i want-i like stones and flowers not a bunch of greenery and buses and monkey grass. but i dont know how to get there. my front yard is very small and the grass is terrible weedy and spotty. theres a sidewalk about twelve feet from the road to my house. i was thinking of planting perennials on each side of the sidewalk and around the mailbox and uprooting the monkey grass ad rotting wood logs on the side of my house. my mom says i need to get good soil and mulch. idk how much, what kind, where to put it etc. and i dont know how to get rid of the bad soil. i know its hard to help without pictures but i know nothing and anything at all would actually be helpful. i live in tennessee close to georgia if that helps where we get pretty hot summers, pretty cold winters, not much snow but lots of rain if that helps. i was thinking perennials because i wont have to keep planting every year. thanks in advance!

Legal penalty for vandalism of mailboxes?

Last night I was invited by some friends to go out and have some fun. We stopped and bought mortars at a fireworks store and put them in 3 seperate mailboxes. The police pulled us over on the interstate and I admited that we were the ones who had done it. They didn't damage the mailboxes at all and the cop let us go but took all 3 of our phone numbers and said he was gonna go talk to the people and see if they wanted to press charges. I don't know how he'd know which houses to go to because we didn't damage any of the mailboxes at all. Should I expect for him to call me back? It's been almost 24 hours and we've heard nothing from him. I also said that I'd be willing to pay to replace the mailboxes. I've never been in ANY trouble with the law and I've got a perfect record. If he does call me what punishment should I expect? I live in Tennessee.

I'm a junior at a university and last semester was not my best. Because of it now i don't qualify for any financial aid this year. So I desperately want to go to the east coast to study. I have a 4.6 GPA, I am in the top 10% out of 800 rising seniors at my school, I am actively involved in my community, I play a sport and an instrument, my family has a low income so I am being helped with financial aid, HOWEVER my ACT and SAT scores are not good. That is the only concern for me: that I would not be accepted to colleges because of my low test scores. I honestly am a horrible test taker in that i always get nervous no matter how prepared I am, and my nervousness gets the better of me. What do you think my chances are? I got a 22 on my ACT and 1590 on SAT and 540 on Math II Sub. and 560 on Bio Sub. I know I have a chance to retake ACT or SAT, but how do you think I stack up? Appreciate it.

Why doesn"t my dad understand me?

Here's the deal. I love writing, in fact one day I want to be a screenwriter/novelist. However, I'm a realist and know I need something stable and retail is just not working out for me anymore. I'm 34 and want to feel content in my career area before I hit 40. So I was thinking about culinary school. People say I'm a good at cooking and would make a great chef. Two schools I'm considering are New England Culinary Institute (Montpelier, Vt.) or the French Culinary Institute (Campbell Ca. and NYC). Before I make that next step I'm wondering if I should give it a few more months to see if anything happens with my writing and then go into it. If I sell a novel or screenplay by January I can afford the school. I've got some connections in the NYC publishing world. I kind of want to avoid having to get grants and financial aid. Any Humane Cat Repellent?

Our neighbor has about two cats and she keeps them outside. They frequently roam our yard and hide under our bushes. Frequent pleading with the owner to keep her cats leashed (city ordinance for outside cats) has gotten us no where. Sometimes the cats poop and kill birds but they seem to like torturing our indoor cat. After she sees them out the window, she works herself into a fuss and later barfs on something which becomes a pain to clean. Recently, the owner even called the police and blamed us for putting a dead bird in her mailbox when it could have been some other neighbor with the same problem. Is there some kind of humane deterrent that's cheap. Preferably something that won't be washed away by frequent rains or look bad in our yard.

Ok beat this story. I visited my aunt in Jacksonville florida when I was 11 years old. My aunt was technically my great aunt also she was a little on the older side (age 65). Anyways, my aunt had this fascination with her hair always being in the beehive style. You know like from the 60's? I always joked with her about her hair looking like a birds nest, which is the turning point in my story.. She lived in one of those elderly one story community housing unit apartments and had a community mailbox. i hope you dont wear most of that stuff at once...some of this stuff you can go cheap on and save some money because theres really no difference-of the difference isnt worth the difference in the amount of money. foundations and eyeliners should be bought professionally, while blush and some lip things (balm and gloss) can be bought at a drug store. use your discretion for things liek eyeshadow-maybe one good pallate of colors from sephora then go drugstore for more everyday wear-covergirl eyeshadow has beat any professional type of eyeshadow ive ever tried no contest at all. personally i think lip plumpers are a waste of money and lip liner just looks ridiculous and and out of date-plus it really ages a person. of course primer, and highlighters are nice and you can really only get them at professional stores. i would def get a great tube of mascara you love from sephora or somewhere then when that runs out, save the brush and use it instead of a wand for drugstore mascara-because most mascara stuff is the same-the difference is in the wand so just make sure you always keep and clean your mascara wand. eye primer can truthfully can be substituted by many things-foundation, regular primer etc. its a big rip off and waste of money. spend most of your money on face care -like face wash, astringent/toner, cream, moisturizers. those things will keep yoru real face in tip top shape. if you get a highlighter go with lorac-it is combined with a concealer so you save some space, convience, and possibly money. when you go to a professional make up store, have an idea of how much you wnat to spend and on what and stick to your guns because they will try to sell you more than you need. their job is to sell-not necessarily to tell you whats best for you and your actual needs-face and wallet.

yellow bettas are not common that is for sure ... good for you for grabbing him as he sounds beautiful ... i always tell people to go when stores get their shipments as almost every shipment will have one or two unique fish even petsmart :O) you should post a picture :O) you might want to reconsider feeding freeze-dried as the fish can sometimes gulp the hard worm and it can cause a blockage ... you would be best to feed the betta pellets and the frozen blood worms ... i would watch his rubbing on stuff, it could just be adjusting to a new tank ...

My Landlord lives downstairs from me, can he move out without telling me?

Ive been living in my upstairs apartment since March, I signed a year least, my Landlord & his family lives downstairs from me. Yesterday I saw a moving truck outside, I thought it was for the people next door. I went to work & when I came back the downstairs apartment was vacant. Also after moving in, I notice that my landlord & I share a mailbox, I dont have my own mailbox. I dont think its an apartment, I think he build my apartment out of the attic. Why didnt he inform me that he was moving? Does my Landlord have a right to do this?

My coworker left me a nasty note...what should I do?

I received a note in my mailbox at work yesterday, which said I should quit my job...not surprisingly, it was anonymous. To make a long story short, I work at a child care center and am a certified teacher. I love what I do and do it to the best of my ability. There are several people I work with--including a supervisor--who are a clique, who hate their jobs and have tried, sometimes successfully, to force out teachers with education. They tend to gang up on one person at a time, and right now, I feel I'm that person. What should I do? My boss is unpredictable and is not good at resolving conflicts. This whole thing has been a nightmare. I did keep the note. Thank you for your time.

Well most CRACKERS (the term hacker is very broad, cracker means someone who breaks into computer systems) just do it for the fun, others do it for money. If you are getting mad then call the police. computer hacking is a crime, people have been sent to federal prison for doing it. And if the police don't do anything (hacking isn't enforced as much when the victim isn't a company) then call your ISP provider and get your IP changed. Also try turning your computer off when your not using it (sleep mode is not the same as off)

Last night some friends and I went out with 3 mortars and put them in 3 seperate mailboxes. They all launched out onto the ground and then blew up causing the mailboxes NO harm or damage whatsoever. We were headed back to my apartment when a guy began to follow us and continued to make every turn we did for almost ten minutes. We had just started to pull on the interstate when a cop pulled us over and said that we had been reported for vandalizing mailboxes. We admitted to it and he said he was gonna let us go and that we had better have learned a lesson. He also ran our licenses and nobody including me has ANYTHING on their record. He said he had to go wake up the people who we did that to and see if they wanted to press charges and that it'd be up to them if they did and he took all of our numbers. I have no idea how he wouldve known who to wake up because none of the mailboxes were damaged at all. I do realize that what we did was wrong but we were not out to hurt anybody at all. Did he just take our numbers to scare us or will we actually hear back from him? It's been 24 hours now and we've heard nothing. If he does talk to someone and they do wanna press charges what kind of penalty are we looking at? Again, PLEASE only answer if you can be civil.

Someone killed in boating accident-opinions?

A family of four is on the water with no witnesses, 2 stories came out of the Coroner's Office on the . day of the death. 1) The Dad is leaning over and messing with the propeller (with the engine running in both stories!) and the 11yr old son puts the boat in gear, Dad falls off the boat, the Mom then puts the boat in reverse and runs over him. 2) The Dad is in the water some feet away from the boat, the son puts the boat in reverse and runs over him, the Mom puts the boat in gear and runs over him again. I am sure there is confusion, but I don't understand how the Mom doesn't know if the Dad is ON or OFF the boat (a 24ft boat) before the accident. She might have changed the story because she couldn't abide the thought of people thinking she ran over him, she clearly thought the story would not get out about her son hitting his Dad. But if she wanted to protect him, why change the story in the first place? Unless she couldn't stand the thought of people thinking she was the one at fault, which is consistent with her personality. Also, there was the matter of money. She lives for dinner parties at her home, which she loves to show off, she has more photos of her home than of her kids. Very materialistic, it's extremely likely that they had financial problems, due the amount going out & their business is the type to drop off in this economy. The insurance policy from his death would have assured they/she wouldn't have to sell anything, the condo, the house, the cars, the boat etc, something she couldn't abide due to her pride. She told me she never broke down once since his death (pride?) and has lost a lot of weight since his death, has been doing Coke, and has been partying incessantly since his death. I want to know from this info if 1) anything looks wrong with this, if so what? and 2) Does anyone else think she should have known whether he was on or off the boat prior to the accident? 3) Is the changing of the stories consistent with that of someone grieving, or someone trying to cover their mistake? And anything else?

I had a friend who had a problem with that, and her dad ended up putting a small mailbox inside a much larger one. He filled the gap with concrete. You would need a heavy duty post to put it on, but once it's installed it's darn near indestructible.

What is a good concealer for summer - Combination skin?

Because I have combination skin I can't use something too matte or too moisturizing. The one I'm using now is Benefit's Erase Paste which is good for covering dark circles but now that its hit summer it practically melts off my face and leaves my mascara running. The MAC one is way too drying. The Clinique one doesn't really help with dark circles. And YSL touche Eclat is more of a highlighter than concealer. Please help u_u
