Corny/cute date idea?

So I'm leaving at the end of the week to go on vacation for a week, so I won't see my girlfriend for a while. Instead of asking her on a date before I go I had a better idea and wanted to see what you guys thought. I was thinking of making something like an admission ticket but for a date. So I'd put info on it like it was a real event but really it was just for our date. I'd put the time and date, what I wanted to do, and all the other little fun things you could put on a ticket. Then I figured I'd mail it to her or put it in an envelope and put it in her mailbox. Then she'd open it and see it! What do you think? Too corny and dumb? Cute? Different? Thanks!
