Applying for College Loans?

I feel really stupid asking this but here goes. I received $36,000 in financial aid for the college that I am going to attend this fall, that leaves me with $6,000 to pay out of pocket which is still pretty high for my single parent family to afford. Does anyone know of any reliable loans that I could take out for college to help pay for this?
