Ipod Touch 1st Generation 32 gigabyte distorted audio.Help?!!!?

Ok, I have a Ipod touch 1st Generation 32 Gb that i got from Ebay. When I went to the mailbox I saw the package that the ipod touch came in. I opened the package and the Ipod touch was pretty hot(it was laying in the mailbox for a long time I think). I plugged in headphones and the volume was distorted. I tried many different headphones and the same problem occurred. I went online and found somebody have the same problem and did what they did which was restoring it and re-syncing it and it didn't work! Help please????
