What do people draw with alcohal based markers?

I have some Marvy cartoon designer markers... it's alcohol based. What do people usually use these markers for? It double sided. To me it's sort of like a highlighter but I know people definitely don't pay a lot of money for these markers just so they can use them as markers. Please tell me some information about them. Thanx!:)
